OKC Thunder Sweep Suns — NBA Playoffs 2026 Round 2 Preview

The Oklahoma City Thunder have swept the Phoenix Suns 4-0 to advance to the second round of the 2026 NBA Playoffs — and they look every bit like a team about to repeat as NBA champions.

How dominant were the Thunder?

OKC won all four games by an average margin of 18 points. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was brilliant throughout, averaging 32 points per game in the series. The Thunder’s defence was suffocating — holding Phoenix to under 100 points in three of the four games.

This is the Thunder’s fourth consecutive playoff appearance and they have now won 11 consecutive first-round playoff games. At 26 years old, SGA is playing the best basketball of his career at exactly the right time.

What’s next for OKC

The Thunder advance to the Western Conference Semifinals where they will face either the Minnesota Timberwolves or Denver Nuggets — a series currently tied with Minnesota leading 3-1. Conference Semifinals begin approximately 4 May.

Why Australians should watch OKC
