Nashville SC continue to dominate MLS at 54 points, extending their lead over Vancouver Whitecaps (46) and Inter Miami (45). The Western Conference is essentially between Vancouver and Houston Dynamo (43). New England Revolution’s surge into 4th overall alongside Houston and FC Dallas (all at 43) has reshaped the East. And the wooden spoon race remains firmly with Sporting Kansas City (18 points, 5-16-3). Here’s the state of MLS with roughly six weeks remaining.
Overall standings — Nashville commanding
Nashville SC at 54 points (16-3-6) hold an 8-point lead over the Vancouver Whitecaps and 9 points over Miami. Their Supporters’ Shield candidacy is now essentially locked in. Head coach BJ Callaghan’s tactical structure has been the season’s understated story.
Vancouver Whitecaps at 46 points (14-6-4) hold outright Western Conference lead. Inter Miami at 45 points (12-4-9) sits behind — Miami and Vancouver locked in a genuinely close second-overall race.

Six Western Conference teams within six points of each other for playoff seeding. The wild-card fight remains genuinely alive.
Eastern Conference — Nashville and Miami dominate
After Nashville (54) and Miami (45), the East drops sharply. New England Revolution at 43 points has surged into third. Charlotte FC at 40 points and Chicago Fire at 39 round out the top five.
Bottom of the table
Sporting Kansas City at 18 points (5-16-3) remain last in MLS. Five wins in 24 games. CF Montreal at 21 points (5-14-6), Atlanta United at 23 (6-14-5) and Columbus Crew at 23 (6-14-5) round out the basement. Sporting KC’s season is now genuinely on track to be one of the worst records in MLS history.
