Nashville SC continues to dominate MLS at 60 points — 10 clear of Vancouver Whitecaps. FC Dallas surged past New England Revolution and Miami into third overall at 47 points. San Jose Earthquakes have quietly climbed to sixth overall. New England (46), Miami (46) and San Jose (45) are jammed together. Sporting Kansas City at 21 points remain MLS’s worst team. Roughly six weeks remain in the regular season. Here’s the state of MLS.
Nashville locks up the Shield
Nashville SC at 60 points (18-3-6) hold a 10-point lead over Vancouver Whitecaps. The Supporters’ Shield is now essentially decided. Head coach BJ Callaghan’s team has been the class of MLS by a distance — three losses in 27 games is genuinely elite regular-season form.

Western Conference — Vancouver leads, FC Dallas closes
The Western Conference top three:
- Vancouver Whitecaps — 50 pts
- FC Dallas — 47 pts
- San Jose Earthquakes — 45 pts
FC Dallas has closed the gap on Vancouver to just three points. San Jose has surged into third. Houston (44), Saint Louis (44) and LAFC (41) remain in the playoff mix.
Eastern Conference — Nashville dominant, three-way race for 2nd
Nashville (60) leads the East by 14 points. New England Revolution (46) and Inter Miami (46) are tied for second in the East. Charlotte FC (43) and Chicago Fire (42) round out the top five.
Bottom of the table
Sporting Kansas City at 21 points (6-17-3) remain MLS’s worst team. Their offseason overhaul will be one of the biggest stories of the winter. CF Montreal (24), Atlanta United (27), Columbus Crew (29), Toronto FC (29) and Minnesota (29) round out the bottom.

Storylines to follow into October
Nashville and the Shield. A 10-point lead with six weeks to play makes this essentially locked in.
